�Harm have I done to them, but ne'er was harmed;<p>If you think of Sonic the Hedgehog, some of your minds may go from 'beloved childhood classic' to 'starting point of the Sanic meme'. But, I don't know if any of you ever thought of our favourite blue hedgehog being delinquent material.</p><p>Over on Deadline, an interview with Paramount's Chairman &amp; CEO, Jim Gianopulos, finally gave us a clue as to what to expect from the upcoming live action film.</p><p>"He's a juvenile delinquent on the adventures in a pretty straight rural environment with a local policeman. It was instantly engaging and it was good enough where you could see where it's going." As reported in The Wrap's interview, the main theme is friendship where Sonic and the local policeman will come together when both of them need a friend.</p><p>Cute as that sounds, it's so... weird. Anyone who's played the video games before will know that Sonic as a character is a goodie-two-shoes who's there to help his friends, wants to save the day, and is always down for a bit of Robotnik butt-kicking.</p><p>So, for this version of Sonic to be someone who loiters, maybe gels his blue spikes right back, kicks in car windows, tags walls, terrorises the local citizens, and yells at the MAN (maybe), it just doesn't feel totally right. With a policeman on board I can see why a delinquent Sonic would be needed, but I really will have to see this to believe it.</p><p>I mean, I kind-of want it to work. It's got some great names involved in the project so far including James Marsden (Westworld, Enchanted), and Tim Miller (Deadpool Director) as executive producer.</p><p>What do you guys think?
